"This is how I see this song, only because of the current situation going on in my life. I think it may be about a girl who is walking out of his life. They have been friends forever, but never became anything more. "Some things we don't talk about, rather do without and just hold a smile" They each have been "falling in and out of love" but either way, they have remained close. But something changed, he wants something more then just that friendship. Maybe she has actually found someone to spend the rest of her life with, even though that other guys isn't right for her and it made him realize. He believes "you can never say never" hoping that they will be together one day. He proceeds to tell her how he feels. He says "picture you're the Queen of everything, far as the eye can see" because she thinks she holds the world in her hands at the moment, but he knows eventually she has to realize that other guy isn't right for her. He continues to say "I will be your guardian when all is crumbling, I'll steady your hand." Meaning, he will always be there for her."
Yesterday (Jun 23), GSC showed the early screening of one of the most anticipated movies this year, the sequel of Transformer, Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Well, thanks to my friends for counting me in in their plans, I had the opportunity to watch the movie earlier than its intended screening which is today.
Allow me to give my two-cents about the movie. Overall, I would say the movie is entertaining (plot aside). For those who loves actions and lots of kung fu from robots, this movie is a definite must for you. But behind all those actions and kung fus, the movie doesn't really have much to offer except the hot hot hot Megan Fox, lol.
I have to applaud the director for the start of movie. The chaos in Shanghai, the introduction of a few new autobots, it does make the audiences bite their teeth and keep them in the suspense mode especially the threat uttered by the Decepticon, "the Fallen shall rise again". However, since that, the movie becomes extremely draggy. The bloody annoying mum who whines a lot, the unsignificant dad who adds nothing to the plot (as usual), and the suspicious hot chick that tries to seduce Sam. It is pretty obvious that certain scenes from the suspicious hot chick chasing after Sam and Megan is somewhat an imitation or resembles those from Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines. And the curious thing is, since when Decepticons can transform and imitate a human, or rather a hot chick.
There is also a lot of unnecessary humor injected into the movie. Examples such as the mum getting high on drugs and starts to crap, Agent Simmons with his line "remember what I did for my country, the country that betrayed me". The middle part of the movie is also rather long in their quest to find the Matrix of Leadership. But soon after they recovered it, the movie starts to get alive again with all those robots fighting one another. The movie also has a few moments of its own where it connects with the audiences emotion such as the fall of the Optimus and the scene where Sam was injured and unconscious.
By all means, I am no movie critic or reviewer. I am just sharing my two-cents about the movie. Out of a rating of 10, it certainly deserves an 8 despite all those shortcomings in the movie. My comments, Like: the action, the thrill and the robots; Dislike: the unnecessary scenes that made the movie too long and that about it. By the way, I love the soundtrack too, Linkin Park's New Divide.

MSN (11.30PM, June 22) - CK | Who wants to go out and get a few buckets of beers? | Finally, someone answered my call.
MSN (4.42AM, June 23) - CK | Just reached home. Still bloody awake. I need to go out more often.
Between the night of June 22 and the wee hours of the morning. An invite to Jerry's condo to have some beer, chit chat and relax. Simon was kind enough to give me a lift. Once there, we played games Ping, pong ... PIANG!!! Interesting as it is... the game got better once everyone starts to get a lil tipsy. We have people who ping themselves. Then the same person again to pong themselves. And people who piang their neighbors and forget to surrender. (Me included) All and all, it was damn fun. As stated through my MSN nick, reached home at 4.42am. Bathed... and that's it. Went to bed about 5.20am, the hour mum woke up She was rather stunt that I was still awake and very fresh. Hahaha... I wonder if I told her that I just woke up, maybe she would have believed me... LOL. I'll save that for next time. Slept like a pig and woke up at 8.55am. Not bad, even if I have a class at 9am I think I can reach college by 9.20am, hahahaha... (the biggest lie of all) Took breakfast, blogging now... and I'll be back in bed in another few more minutes. Hahahaha...
MSN (8.55am, June 23) - CK | Nonsense... I love my bed... I wanna sleep more
What do you call an occasion or event that your family organize once a year, every year? Tradition?
Well, this occasion or event is held within my family once a year usually during the local fruit season every year and has already lasted for generations inherited from my forefathers. If I'm not mistaken or if I'm not making up stories, this tradition originated from Thailand (forgive me if I'm wrong) which may be explained as my forefathers descend from Thailand.
This occasion or event is more like a prayer to a guardian/protector. A few rules/requirements of this prayer is that no pork (and I mean NO PORK!!!, lol) is allowed and fruit offerings of durians, rambutans, mangosteen and cemphedak is a MUST; then there is the nasi kunyit with wonderful chicken curry and pulut with inti (grated coconut cooked with thick black sugar) and those daun rokok (I'm not sure what its called) like the ones people offer to "datuk kong". Well, the concept is similar to prayers to "datuk kong" except that the prayer has to start in the afternoon... say 3.30 pm or so. Something different is that we don't use joss stick but rather candles, red-coloured candles to pray (you can see them in the pics later).
I hope I didn't break any rules for taking pics (sorry if I did). Durians, so many durians. Rambutans, mangosteen and cemphedak. Sadly, I dun take any of those fruits. (Dad, if you're reading this, but that is very unlikely... "you spend so much on durians and eat them like ice-creams, but I don't know how to eat durians and I don't intend to learn. Can you please be fair, and buy some Haagen Daaz or Baskin Robbins next year so I get to eat something too while watching you guys take durians". LOL.
Easily 35 durians overall. Might have cost dad a couple hundreds. Names like ang heh(red prawn), kay nui jin(egg?) and what "kum poh*"
Mangosteen, cemphedak and rambutans
Right: Nasi kunyit with chicken curry | Left: Pulut inti
Picture during the prayer at granny's house. (notice the candle)
As I blog about this, I wonder if I still get to be with my family to celebrate this event next year. The future lies uncertain, I might be in Aus, probably KL or some other places next year during the fruit season.
9.47 pm<> "ck_a_student wants to slack and laze around. TIRED OF EVERYTHING..."
I am very tired of the never ending presentation and assignment. I am very tired thinking about friends leaving Malaysia. I am very tired thinking about what to do next after diploma. I am very tired thinking of which Uni or U/C to join. I just wanna kick back, slack, laze and relax.
I wanna go out. Hang out with friends. Go for outings day or night, it doesn't matter. Venue, not an issue. Be it to the beach, or to clubs. I just wanna spend every remaining time I have in Penang with friends and my diploma course mates. Duration, not a problem. Whole morning, whole night, whole day. 6, 12 or 24 hours. Skip class, not an issue. Money, I will get all the funds I need from Mom. AND FOR ONCE, I am going to hang up my bike key and helmet. I'll drive for a change.
Looking forward to Tuesday (error corrected, Monday is not 23rd). Transformer 2: Revenge of The Fallen at GSC. Wednesday too. Jeff's birthday. Going to be a crazy night. Gonna get drunk and wasted. Hahahaa... Meanwhile, friends ar... plan la... more plans... but count me in okay. LOL. Screw college and exam and assignment and presentation.
Sometimes, the person you fall for isn't ready to catch you. Sometimes the person who is ready to catch you is not one you'd fall for.
Life is not fair. We often bring misery to those who care for us and they are the ones who cry for us. On the contrary, we often cry for those who won't and never will care for us. Shame as it is, these people who always have our care and concern, that very 'special' place in our heart, won't and never will shed a tear for us. [June 11]
On our quest to achieve a distant dream, we tend to miss out on life and all the better things that are within our reach. [June 23]
It takes a lot more than just love to make a relationship work. [June 25]
